2026 Ford Off-Road SUV

Ford
Bronco

Doors off, roof off, and made for Arizona dirt.

The Bronco is a body-on-frame off-roader with removable doors and roof, built for exactly the kind of trails we have around Prescott, Sedona and the Verde Valley.

It’s a fantastic adventure vehicle. It’s not a big tow vehicle, and I’ll help you figure out which trim fits how you’ll actually use it.

I sell new and used Broncos in Dewey, near Prescott, to buyers from all over Arizona. Don’t see the exact one you want? Text me anyway. I’ll tell you what’s available and what your options are.

The 2.3L is plenty for most people. The 2.7L V6 adds noticeably more pull at altitude and on long climbs.

Not to be confused with the Bronco Sport, a smaller crossover-based SUV. Ask me if you’re deciding between the two.

Which Travel Trailers Can It Tow?

Travel Trailers

I sell Rockwood, R-Pod and Winnebago travel trailers too. Here’s how a few real floor plans line up against the Bronco’s max tow rating of 3,500 lbs.

Travel trailerGVWRvs. 3,500 lbs
R-Pod RP-1534,524 lbsOver
Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS5,500 lbsOver
R-Pod RP-2066,229 lbsOver
Rockwood Ultra Lite 2606WS8,542 lbsOver

Good fit: GVWR at or under 80% of the max tow rating (my rule of thumb). Tight: under the rating without much margin. Over: above it. Compared against the Bronco’s maximum rating; your vehicle may be rated lower, and payload has to be checked separately.

FAQ

Questions I Get a Lot

How much can a 2026 Bronco tow?

Most Bronco models are rated up to 3,500 lbs when properly equipped, and the Bronco Raptor up to 4,500 lbs.

Can a Bronco tow a travel trailer?

Most travel trailers are too heavy. Even a small R-Pod like the RP-153 has a published GVWR of 4,524 lbs, above the Bronco’s rating. It’s better suited to small utility trailers, a couple of dirt bikes or a small teardrop.

2-door or 4-door Bronco?

The 2-door is shorter and more nimble on tight trails. The 4-door has a usable back seat and more cargo room. Most families go 4-door.

What’s the difference between the Bronco and the Bronco Sport?

The Bronco is a body-on-frame off-roader with removable doors and roof. The Bronco Sport is a smaller, more car-like SUV. Both are capable, but they’re very different vehicles.
