Winnebago Travel Trailers
Winnebago
Travel Trailers
A household name in RVs, with travel trailers from compact Micro Minnies to long-haul Voyages.
Winnebago is one of the best-known names in RVing, and its travel trailer lineup runs from narrow, easy-towing models to large trailers built for long trips.
The range of sizes is the reason to start with your tow vehicle. A Micro Minnie and a Voyage are very different trailers to pull.
I sell Winnebago travel trailers in Dewey, near Prescott, and work with buyers from across Arizona. Text me and I’ll send a video walkaround of what’s on the lot.

Towing
Which Ford Can Tow a Winnebago?
It depends on the floor plan. Here’s one example, the Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS, using its published specs. Always compare the trailer’s GVWR, not its dry weight, to the tow rating, and then check payload.
| Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS | Published spec |
|---|---|
| Dry weight | 4,291 lbs |
| GVWR (max loaded) | 5,500 lbs |
| Length | 22' 5" |
| Trailer | Maverick | Explorer | Ranger | Expedition | F-150 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS GVWR 5,500 lbs | Over | Over | Good fit | Good fit | Good fit |
Good fit: trailer GVWR at or under 80% of the Ford’s max tow rating (my rule of thumb). Tight: under the rating but without much margin. Over: above the rating. Max ratings below apply to properly equipped vehicles only; your truck may be rated lower. Always check payload too.
| Ford | Max towing | When |
|---|---|---|
| Maverick | 4,000 lbs | with the 4K Tow Package |
| Explorer | 5,000 lbs | standard Class III tow package |
| Ranger | 7,500 lbs | properly equipped |
| Expedition | 9,600 lbs | 4x4 with Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package |
| F-150 | 13,500 lbs | properly equipped, 3.5L EcoBoost |
Ford ratings from ford.com for current model years. Trailer specs are published manufacturer figures for one example floor plan; options change weight, so confirm on the specific trailer’s sticker.
FAQ
Questions I Get a Lot
Can a Ford Ranger tow a Micro Minnie?

Which Winnebago travel trailer is easiest to tow?
The Micro Minnie and M-Series are generally the easiest because of their size. Exact weights vary by floor plan.
